Pachy was owned by a man who had a tiny farm in the east Everglades. Pachy was blind when purchased by the man and he had owned Pachy for 14 years. Pachy was used as a pony for the children and grandchildren. He had been losing weight for over a year and the owner figured that because Pachy was so old, the deterioration was normal. The owner willingly surrendered Pachy when we inquired about giving the pony a home.

For almost three months it was questionable whether Pachy survive. Now, one year after he came to HPAF, Pachy is doing great, thriving and being appropriately spoiled in his new home at Do Little Acres.
