| Sandman
Sandman was a three-year-old Thoroughbred stallion who
was born in Ocala and had been on the track at Calder Race Course in Miami.
After leaving the track, Sandman was starved and then abandoned in the east
Everglades. Severely starved, hairless and covered with scabs from rain rot,
his legs were so swollen he could barely walk. Luckily his age and good
upbringing gave Sandman the strength to recover. Sandman thinks he is a
human or a puppy. He is like a big cuddly lap dog.
Sandman now resides at HPAF where he is our goodwill
Ambassador. |
