Safiro
Safiro is a large pony Mustang, he was a stallion when he came in, and he just turned 3.5 years old (his second incisors just fell out). He was originally adopted at the 2007 Ocala Mustang adoption and had been with his adopter for about a year and a half.

When we picked him up the person said that he was not tame and that he was hard to catch. The poor little thing was so weak that he never moved a muscle. He walked right into the trailer. The hungry horses we pick up usually jump right into the trailer, they know we are there to help them. At first we were not sure he would survive, he was so depressed and covered with lice.

Safiro is the sweetest little guy ever, he has been a dream to handle and work with, a perfect gentleman. He rebounded so quickly (gain of 150 lbs in one month) that within a month he had to be castrated because he discovered girls! He was a cryptorchid so his surgery was $600.
Now he loves to play with the other young horses and is finally enjoying a childhood.

Safiro has been adopted from BLM by HPAF. He shows tremendous potential for driving and has the talent to be a CDE pony. We are hoping that there is a person who wants to devote themselves to Safiro and help him achieve great things. This is a very special little horse and a joy to have around.
