Unrideable/Compainion Only
There is no fee or donation for companion/unrideable horses. However, HPAF is operated through donation only and your donations are welcomed and always needed. The only way HPAF can continue to be able to care for rescued horses and continue taking in horses in need is through your generosity.
Spiff
Sweetest, most easy going horse ever. Needs lots of room to move all day and graze as he has arthritis.Managed with Cetyl M and MSM and body work.
Legacy
26 year old registered Quarter Horse mare. Excellent manners, very polite, Legacy does a beautiful little jog along side a person as they walk towards her stall with her soaked cubes. Very smart, mare, uncomplicated.
Moo Moo (Mouluki)
12 year old, 16hh TB gelding, excellent manners, loves people, attention and all other horses. Super affectionate horse who loves to be groomed and fussed over. Outstanding individual Moo Moo cannot be ridden due to an old injury but can play the Parelli Seven Games. Nicest horse to have around, also loves his grass & his herdmates.
Bucky
17 year old miniature gelding, special needs high maintenance. Buck foundered in the past, but he is doing well with regular trimming from Podiatrist April Dahl and a holistic program from Dr. Lynn Peck and a very strict diet. Bucky did not sweat last year and needed to be clipped, in front of a fan and hosed multiple times throughout the day last summer. With the program from Dr. Peck he has had sweat recently in the warm weather so we have our hopes up but he may still need to be clipped and in front of a fan. We would like him to remain in the area so that his farrier and vet can remain the same.
Cindy Lu
27 year old Appaloosa mare who has good manners but was mishandled in the past so she needs an experenced adopter who is quiet and can earn her trust.
